Sending receipts
Every time you record a payment, LoanAdmin prepares a receipt for your customer. You can send it right away or later from the loan's history.
After recording a payment
When you save the payment, Share Receipt opens with these options:
- WhatsApp: opens your phone's share menu with the receipt as a PDF and the receipt text. Choose WhatsApp and your customer's chat.
- Share: opens the same menu so you can send it by email, text message or any other app.
- Print: if you have a Bluetooth printer connected, we ask Print receipt?; if not, your phone's print window opens with the receipt as a PDF.
- Skip: closes without sending anything.
The payment is already saved before you choose; sending the receipt is optional.
If you turned on automatic printing in the Bluetooth printer settings, the receipt prints on its own when you save the payment, and you still see Share Receipt afterwards. See Bluetooth printer setup.
Resend a receipt later
- Open the loan and tap its card to see the Options.
- Tap View Payment History.
- On the payment you want, tap the printer icon.
- In Share Receipt, choose WhatsApp, Share or Print.
The receipt carries the date, amount and installment number of that payment, not of the latest one. More about the history in Payment history.
Reprint Receipt, in the loan's Options, is not a payment receipt: it prints or shares the loan summary (amount, installment, total and interest).
What the receipt includes
The receipt includes your business details, the customer's name, the confirmation number, the date, the installment, the amount paid and what's still owed. You decide which fields appear, whether your logo shows, and how the installment is numbered in Receipt settings. The text comes out in your phone's language.
On the web
On loanadmin.app the receipt isn't sent when you record the payment. Open View payment history and, on the payment, click the WhatsApp icon: WhatsApp Web opens with the receipt as text, addressed to the customer's phone if you have it saved. You just need to press send in WhatsApp.
