Payment reminders on WhatsApp

Every day LoanAdmin prepares the list of clients you should remind about their payment, with the message already written. You send it from your own WhatsApp, one by one.

Important: LoanAdmin does not send messages on its own and has no automatic WhatsApp integration. WhatsApp's (Meta's) rules don't allow automating debt-collection or person-to-person lending messages, so you send every message yourself, from your own number.
Plan: available on all paid plans (Essential, Professional and Business) and during the free trial. Loyalty users (old one-time purchase) don't have it.

The "Today's reminders" card

When you have payments to remind, Home shows the Today's reminders card. It shows how many are overdue, due today and due tomorrow, and how many you've sent today. Tap it to open the list.

The list: Payments › Reminders

Open Payments and tap the Reminders tab. You'll see three groups:

  • Overdue
  • Due today
  • Due tomorrow

Each client has a short message ready, for example: "Hello Ana, this is a friendly reminder that your payment of $500 is due today. Reply here with any questions. Thank you!". The text changes depending on whether the payment is overdue, due today or due tomorrow.

If a client shows No phone saved, tap Add to fill in their number.

Send one by one

  1. Tap Send next to the client.
  2. WhatsApp opens with the message written for that client.
  3. Press Send inside WhatsApp.
  4. Go back to LoanAdmin. The app asks whether you sent it:
  • Yes · next: marks it as sent and prepares the next client.
  • Yes, finish: marks it as sent and closes.
  • I didn't send it: closes without marking it.

Clients marked as sent don't come up again that day.

Send in a row

Tap Send in a row to go client by client without returning to the list: after each send, the app shows you the next client's message (you can edit it) with the button to open WhatsApp.

Remind a single client

From the collections list you can also tap a payment and choose Payment reminder (WhatsApp). That message is more complete (it includes the up-to-date balance), you can edit it before sending, and it ends with the signature "Sent with LoanAdmin", which you can turn off.

On the web

On the web (loanadmin.app, Business plan) the same list is in Payments › Reminders. You can open the messages with the desktop WhatsApp app or with WhatsApp Web (one tab per client). There too, you press Send: LoanAdmin sends nothing.

Good to know

  • Messages go out from your WhatsApp number; the client replies to you.
  • There are no scheduled or automatic sends, not by WhatsApp, SMS or email.
  • The Reminders tab isn't available to team members.
  • Check your country's rules about debt-collection messages.
