The loan PDF report
LoanAdmin creates two PDFs for a loan: the Loan Report, with all the information and the payment history, and the loan summary, a short sheet to hand to the customer. Here's how to get each one, what it contains and what you can configure.
The Loan Report
Generate, share or print it
- Open the loan and tap its card to see the Options.
- Tap Print / View. The Loan Report screen opens with the report on screen.
- Use one of the two buttons at the bottom.
- Share: creates the PDF and opens your phone's share menu to send it by WhatsApp, email or another app.
- Print: opens your phone's print preview, where you can print it or save it.
The report is built from the loan's latest data, so you need an internet connection to open it.
What it contains
- Header: your business name, phone, address and logo, taken from your profile.
- Loan Detail Report with the customer's name. If the loan is overdue, a red OVERDUE notice with the days late.
- LOAN INFORMATION: Total Loan Amount, Current Balance, Start date, installments paid out of the total (or the End date if the loan isn't by installments), Payment Frequency, Interest Rate and the last payment's details.
- Amortization Schedule: only on Amortized loans. See Amortization.
- PAYMENT SUMMARY: Total Loan Amount, Total Paid, Current Balance and Number of Payments.
- PAYMENT HISTORY: every recorded payment. If there are none, it says No payments recorded.
- At the bottom, the date it was generated.
This report's content is fixed: Report templates doesn't change it.
The loan summary
It's a sheet titled LOAN SUMMARY with the customer's details and the loan terms. You can get it at two moments:
- When you create the loan: on the success screen, tap Share summary or Print summary.
- Later: in the loan's Options, tap Reprint Receipt. If you have a Bluetooth printer connected, it prints there; otherwise the PDF is generated so you can share it.
Choose what the summary includes
- Open the menu (☰) › Settings.
- Under Loans & Collections, tap Report templates.
- On the Fields tab, turn each item on or off: Business Name, Business Phone, Customer Name, Customer Phone, Loan Amount, Loan Start Date, First Payment Date, Payment Frequency, Payment Amount (per installment), Total Interest to Pay and Total Amount to Pay.
- On the Style tab, choose whether to Show Logo.
- Tap Save Changes. To go back to the original settings, tap the ↺ icon (Reset to Default).
Customer Name and Loan Amount are always included. Business Phone also decides whether your business address appears.
For now, the summary only takes into account which fields are on and Show Logo. Field order, Bar Color and Font Size don't change it.
To choose what each payment receipt shows, use Receipt design. See Receipt settings.
On the web
- Loan report: in the loan detail on loanadmin.app, click Print. Your browser opens its print window with the report, in the same format as the app.
- Summary when creating a loan: when you finish, the web shows the summary with Download or print loan summary, which follows your template. Send loan details via WhatsApp and Send loan details via email send a text with all the terms, without applying the template.
- Templates: Settings › PREFERENCES › Report templates opens Report Settings, with the same fields as the app. There's one template for your account: what you save on the web is also used by the app, and the other way around.
If you change the template on the web, the app may take a while to use it: it picks it up the next time you open the app, and that can take up to an hour.
