Web reports: Loan Portfolio and Credit Risk
Two web reports give you a snapshot of your whole portfolio: Loan Portfolio (how much you have lent and how it's spread out) and Credit Risk (how well each client pays, with a score from 300 to 850). They're only on the web.
Plan: the web app is part of the Business plan and the 60-day trial. See Using LoanAdmin on the web.
How to open them
- On loanadmin.app, click Reports in the sidebar.
- In the Portfolio analysis group, find Loan Portfolio or Credit Risk.
- Click Generate →.
These two reports don't use the date range on the Reports page: they show your portfolio as it is today. At the top of the report you'll see Generated on with the date.
If you lend in more than one currency, buttons with each currency appear at the top. The report shows one currency at a time; LoanAdmin never converts amounts between currencies.
Loan Portfolio
Portfolio Overview
- Active Loans: loans that still have a balance.
- Completed Loans: loans with a zero balance.
- Total Portfolio Value: the sum of the amount lent on all your loans, active and completed.
- Outstanding Balance: the sum of what you're still owed.
Financial Summary
- Total Collected: the Total Portfolio Value minus the Outstanding Balance.
- Average Loan Amount: the Total Portfolio Value divided by the number of loans.
- Average Interest Rate: the simple average of each loan's rate. A large loan doesn't weigh more than a small one.
Total Collected is a subtraction, not the sum of your payments. To see exactly what you collected between two dates, use the Payment List report or the End of Day report.
Distribution by Frequency
One row per payment frequency (daily, weekly, monthly…) with its Loans, the Total Amount lent and the Current Balance. Rows go from highest to lowest balance.
Top Customers by Balance
The 10 clients who owe you the most, from highest to lowest, with their Loans, Total Loaned and Balance. Only clients with an outstanding balance appear.
Credit Risk
Summary
- Total Customers: all your clients.
- With Loans: clients with at least one loan in the currency you're viewing. Only they get a score.
- Avg. Score: the average of their scores.
The bands
Each score falls into a band:
- Poor: 300 to 499
- Fair: 500 to 599
- Good: 600 to 699
- Very Good: 700 to 799
- Excellent: 800 to 850
Score Distribution counts how many clients are in each band. Loan Type Distribution shows how many of your loans are Fixed Interest and how many are Amortized.
How the score is calculated
The score comes only from what you've recorded in LoanAdmin; it doesn't check any credit bureau. It combines six factors:
- Late payments (40%): unpaid overdue installments. Payments that arrived late also count, but at half weight. This is the factor that weighs the most.
- Recent payments (20%): whether their active loans have been receiving payments at the pace of their frequency.
- Completed loans (15%): what share of their loans are fully paid.
- Repayment progress (15%): how much of what was lent on their active loans they've already paid.
- Loans at once (5%): having several active loans at the same time lowers the score.
- History (5%): more loans in total with your business raises the score.
Use it as a guide for your decisions. A new client, with a single loan and little history, can't reach the top even if they pay on time.
Customer Credit Scores
The table has one row per client: Customer, Credit Risk Score, Band, Active Loans, Completed Loans, Fixed Interest, Amortized and Balance. It starts sorted from the highest score to the lowest. Click Customer, the score, Active Loans or Balance to sort by that column; click again to reverse the order.
