Updating the app

New LoanAdmin versions bring fixes, speed improvements and new features. Unless automatic updates are on, your phone won't install them by itself — so check now and then, especially before you write to support. The problem you're seeing may already be fixed in a newer version.

Check which version you're running

Do this first. Everything else on this page depends on knowing your current version.

  • Phone: open the menu (☰) at the top-right of the Dashboard — the version (for example v4.10.0) is at the bottom, next to Help & Support. You'll also find it at the bottom of Settings and in Settings → About.
  • Tablet: tap your photo on the Dashboard to open Profile. The version and build are at the bottom, for example 4.10.0(37): the first part is the version, the number in parentheses is the build.
  • Web app: open Settings → About.

Then open LoanAdmin in your app store. If the store offers a higher version than yours, an update is waiting.

What you need

LoanAdmin 4.10 needs iOS 16 or later on iPhone and iPad, and Android 9 or later on Android phones and tablets.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Scroll down to the list of available updates.
  4. Find LoanAdmin and tap Update. Update All works too.

Quicker: search for LoanAdmin in the App Store. If the button next to it says Update instead of Open, tap it.

Android

  1. Open the Play Store.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Manage apps & device, then Updates available.
  4. Find LoanAdmin and tap Update.

Searching for LoanAdmin in the Play Store works too — the Update button appears on the listing whenever a newer version is available for your device.

Turn on automatic updates

  • iOS: open the device Settings → App Store and turn on App Updates.
  • Android: in the Play Store, tap your profile picture → Settings → Network preferences → Auto-update apps, and choose an option. To turn it on for LoanAdmin only, open its listing, tap the menu (⋮) in the top-right corner and enable auto-update.
On a limited mobile data plan, choose "over Wi-Fi only". You still get every version; it just waits for Wi-Fi.

The web app updates itself

There's nothing to install at loanadmin.app — you always load the current version. If a page still looks old right after a release, do a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows, Cmd + Shift + R on Mac).

No update is showing

If the store shows Open rather than Update and you're sure you're behind, it's usually one of these:

  • The rollout hasn't reached you yet. New versions can reach people gradually over a few days. Nothing is broken — it will appear on its own.
  • Your device's system is too old. Stores only offer versions your system can run. Check the requirements above and look for a system update: Settings → General → Software Update on iOS, Settings → System → System update on Android.
  • Storage is full. Updates need free space. Clear some room and try again.
  • You're signed in to a different store account than the one that installed the app. Switch back to the original account.
  • The store is showing old information. Close the App Store or Play Store completely, open it again and refresh.

What's new in each version

  • App: Settings → About shows the latest new features. New features are also announced inside the app when they arrive.
  • Web: Settings → About → Release Notes.

Still stuck?

Open a ticket from Help & Support in the app menu. Include your device model, your iOS or Android version and the LoanAdmin version shown in the menu — that's everything we need to tell you which version you should be on.
