Using LoanAdmin offline
Without internet you can look up the information you had already loaded in LoanAdmin, but most actions that save data need a connection. This page explains precisely what works and what doesn't, so you can plan your collections in areas without signal.
What you can do offline
- Look up your clients, loans, payments and Home as they were the last time you opened them with a connection. If a screen was never loaded with internet, you'll see a no-connection message and a Retry button.
- Receive the collection reminders your phone had already scheduled. See Notifications.
What needs a connection
- Creating loans. If there's no connection, the app tells you and keeps the form; tap Retry when the signal is back.
- Recording payments. They aren't saved offline: write the collection down and record it when you have signal. If you're a member of someone else's Team, you'll see No connection: the payment will be recorded once you have signal again; even so, that payment is not saved, so record it again when the signal is back.
- Deleting payments. Don't delete payments offline: the deletion may stay pending and be applied only partially. Wait until you have signal.
- Editing loans and adding notes. Offline, those changes may stay pending until the signal is back. We recommend making them with a connection.
- Moving loans to the trash and marking them as lost.
- Capital, Work calendar, Team and Help & Support.
- Reports, backups, Request my data and deleting your account.
- Subscribing or changing plans.
For creating or editing clients, we also recommend having a connection: client photos are only uploaded with internet.
The Offline Mode notice
When your phone has no network, Home, the client and loan lists, the forms to create them and the payments screen show the Offline Mode notice. If you tap it, you'll see Changes will sync when you are back online. That doesn't apply to loans or payments: when you see the notice, wait until you have signal before creating loans or recording or deleting payments.
The notice only knows whether your phone has a network, not whether that network has internet. On Wi-Fi without internet or with a very weak signal it may not appear, and actions can still fail.
When the connection comes back
Open the screen again to see up-to-date data and record the collections you wrote down. If after getting signal back you see data that doesn't add up, see Sync problems.
