Export to Excel (web)

Export to Excel (web)

On the web at loanadmin.app you can download Excel files (.xlsx) with your data. There are two exports: a customer's complete file and the Loan movements report.

Plan: the web (and therefore Excel export) is part of the Business plan; it's also available during the free trial.

1. A customer's complete file

  1. In the side menu open Customers and open the customer.
  2. Use the Export to Excel button. You'll find it in the ⋯ (More) menu at the top right of the customer page, and also next to the search box in the payments section.
  3. The file downloads to your computer.

The file has three sheets:

  • Customer: ID, name, phone, email, ID number, notes, active loans, paid loans and pending amount.
  • Loans: one row per loan, with its reference code, currency, amount, rate, frequency, installments and installment amount, start and end dates, current balance, status, next due date, last payment and its late-fee settings.
  • Payments: one row per payment, with payment date, due date, payment type, principal, interest, late fee and total deposit.

2. The "Loan movements" report

For each loan with activity in the range you choose, this report shows what was lent and what was collected in principal and interest.

  1. In the side menu open Reports and choose Loan movements.
  2. Choose the range (From / To, or a quick range like This month, Last month or This year).
  3. Click Export to Excel.

The file has one sheet per currency, with your business name, the range and these columns: Code, Customer, Created on, Lent (debit), Principal paid (credit), Interest paid and Closing principal balance, plus a TOTAL row and a footnote.

How to read it:

  • "—" under Lent means the loan was created before the range; only its payments within the range appear.
  • Late fees collected aren't included in principal or interest.
  • The closing balance is calculated from the current balance: if a loan was edited manually, a past range shows the edited balance.

And on the phone?

Excel export is web-only: the phone app doesn't create Excel files. To back up your data from the app, use Functions › Backup & export (see Backup and restore).
